Flights operated by these carriers can earn miles in the American AAdvantage frequent-flyer program:
- Air Berlin — Only 25% credit for deep-discount economy.

- Cathay Pacific — No credit for discount economy.
- El Al — Only 50% credit for discount economy.
- Etihad Airways
- Fiji Airways — Only 75% credit for discount economy.
- Finnair
- Gulf Air
- Hawaiian Airlines — No credit for deep-discount economy.
- Iberia — Only 80% credit for discount economy, except between Spain and the US, Puerto Rico, or Mexico.
- Japan Airlines — Only 30-75% credit for discount economy.
- Jet Airways — No credit for flights solely between Brussels and the US. Only 50% credit for discount economy. No credit for deep-discount economy.
- LAN — Only 25% credit for most discount economy within South America.
- Malaysia Airlines — No credit for deep-discount economy. Only 50-70% credit for other discount economy.
- Qantas — Only 25-50% credit for discount economy.
- Qatar Airways — Only 25-75% credit for discount economy.
- Royal Jordanian — Only 50% credit for some discount economy, and no credit for deep-discount economy.
- S7 — Only 25% credit for discount economy, and no credit for deep-discount economy.
- SriLankan — Only 25-75% credit for discount economy.
- TAM — Only 50% credit for deep-discount economy within Brazil
