Flights operated by these carriers can earn miles in the United Mileage Plus frequent-flyer program:
- Adria — Only 50% credit for deep-discount economy.
- Aegean — No credit for deep-discount economy.
- Aer Lingus — Only 50-75% credit for economy between Ireland and North America. No credit for intra-European flights, except between Ireland and England, which earn a fixed 250 miles.
- Aeromar — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Air Canada — Only 25-75% credit for discount economy.
- Air China — No credit for deep-discount economy. Only 50% credit for other discount economy.

- Air India — Only 50% credit for discount economy.
- Air New Zealand — Only 50-75% credit for economy.
- ANA — Only 25-75% credit for discount economy.
- Asiana — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Austrian — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Avianca — Only 25-75% credit for discount economy.
- Azul — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Brussels Airlines — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.

- Hawaiian Airlines — Only for inter-island flights in conjunction with a United flight to/from Hawaii.
- Island Air — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Jet Airways — Flights from North America must be via Brussels and onwards to India. No credit for deep-discount economy, and only 50% credit for other discount economy.
- LOT — Only 25-75% credit for discount economy.
- Lufthansa — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- SAS — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Shenzhen Airlines — No credit for deep-discount economy. Only 50% credit for other discount economy.
- Silver Airways — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Singapore Airlines — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- South African Airways — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Swiss — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- TAP — Only 50% credit for discount economy.
- Thai — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy.
- Turkish Airlines — Only 50-75% credit for discount economy; no credit for deep-discount.
- United — As of March 1, 2015, United and United-codeshare flights earn 5 miles per USD spent on the fare (up to 11 per USD for elite-status holders), not miles based on distance flown.
